This lady was made up from some dark elf warrior bits (hands, spear) and void junker bits (banner top) attached to one of the Harbinger Magazine Harbinger of the Fallen. I'm quite fond of the model and think it will look pretty good with the frost elf army. She's got that haughty, aloof look to her... :). She is painted in what is now a fairly standard army color for me. Her skirt is a little different, because I used reaper purple ink (magenta, really) instead of GW flesh wash to shade the skirt. The inside of the cloak is highlighted but it won't show up in pictures at all =(.

I had originally painted the filigree on her armor white, but it didn't stand out much or well against the yellow, so I changed it to match the red of the cloak. I think it stands out better than the white, which is still around the top and bottom of her armor.

Rules-wise, she is supposed to be wearing a sea dragon cloak (which, in my army, is a white dragon cloak), so I chose red for the inside (fleshy!) and white for the outside. I was originally going to try to paint scales on the back of the cloak but couldn't get anything that didn't look like a bunch of curled lines. I thought about trying to sculpt something on there, but didn't really feel up to the attempt. Last time I tried to sculpt cobblestones for a base was a miserable failure, and scales didn't seem that much different.. plus, all those folds in the cloak are bound to distort the scales and I didn't feel up to the attempt. I simply don't know enough about fabrics and scaley things to do that.
