I had a pretty rough time getting something painted for GenCon this year, so I finally picked up this model because I could I coul dpaint it as a character model rather than a competition piece. I don't know, it worked out in my head, and made me feel like I'd be able to do something with it even if it didn't win in the contest.

The Zombie on the base is from Reaper's Warlord line, from the Overlord army, I think.

I tried to make the flesh pretty pale, with a grayish undertone, but it's coming out fairly "healthy" in the pictures. I wasn't able to successfully adjust the color to match the RL model =(

I'm very pleased with my showing at GenCon with this one - Amy Brehm's piece, which beat me out in both the Diorama and the Manufacturer category, I was told was only just a little bit better than mine. I guess my rocks needed more highlighting or definition or something, and I'd have beat her out. Oh well! There's no shame in losing to Amy Brehm. :)
