I don't really like painting feathers, so I wanted to paint the angel with something besides the wings she came with! I decided to do this one for the 2nd round of the 4th season of Iron Painter over at Wyrd Games. The theme ingredient for this round was Object Source Lighting. This was, in fact, the theme that knocked me out of the first round of the first season of IP! I can't say I've done much more experimentation with light sourcing in between, but I've done more research and have had alot more painting experience.. I'm fairly pleased with how this turned out. I had a bit of trouble wrapping my brain around the upside-down highlighting, and I think I was only marginally successful.. the bit of shine from my lamps to take pictures isn't helping much.. :(
