This was the first major conversion I ever did. She is made from the combined parts of a GW wood elf hawk and a GW bloodbowl amazon. I had an amazon that arrived broken in half and my fiancee had some hawk bodies lying around from conversions of his own... and this lady was born.

I wanted my own version of the harpy because I firmly believe that harpies are supposed to be feathered, and GW's were scaley. Also, they are part of my dark elf army, which I am making as "frost elves," so I wanted something climate-appropriate (lizards don't do very well in frozen environments.

I know that she's very pale and non-traditional color-wise for a harpy, but my army is supposed to be painted in mostly cool, pale colors that would fit well in a snowy white/gray surroundings. I don't really see them in the really dark colors of traditional evil dark elves: red and black.
