I painted this one up for the Winter 2004 Mini Exchange through the reaper message board. It was sort-of a last-minute thing.. But not on purpose! I actually started a week or two in advance but kept being unhappy and stripping the miniature I'd been working on. So after 3 or 4 tries and a couple different minis, this is what I ended up with.

It'd been a while since I'd painted caucasian flesh, and it turned out better than I thought it would. I used vallejo paints for most of it.

I had some really bizzare problems that I discovered after top-coating. There were some black spots on a few places on her flesh--The only thing i can think of is that somehow I flicked the black paint around when I did the edge of her base. It's baffling. I also found a few white spots on her dress and a big black smudge. Most of it I was able to scrape away with a hobby knife and a few spots had to be filed smooth and re-primered. The white spots were small enough I could just paint over them. Thank heavens!
