This little guy (I mean really little! 1/2 inch from toes to head) was painted for a D&D Campaign, Shadows of Greatness. Our group took him
captive after killing all his fellows in a counter-ambush. I guess we were going to question him or
something, but what were we thinking? Nobody tells goblins anything!
He turned out surprisingly well for such a quick paint job. I used very few colors to do his skin:
Foundry Moss Shade, Foundry Raw Linen Shade, and Vallejo Black Glaze. That black glaze stuff worked
wonders! A few layers followed by some careful highlighting and he looked like I spent hours painstakingly
blending his skin. ;) I created the snow on his base using a product called DecoArt Snow-Tex, only very
slightly watered down. It was the first time I'd used it so I was understandably happy when it turned out!
My Fiancee mocks me because I finished this NPC without having finished painting the miniature for
my own character. But he's so cute, he needed to be painted! The miniature, in case you're curious, came
with a package of foundry paints.
