This was, I think, my third attempt to paint this model. I had extreme difficulty getting her
cleaned (which is why she'd get half painted and have to be stripped because I'd found another mold line
and hadn't been able to smoothly re-apply paint to the area). There were many hard-to-get-to areas. Also,
that mass of flowing hair, while lovely, had to be cast as a separate piece (for obvious reasons), but it's
a very large, heavy piece of metal attached to her by a very small connection (even though it is pinned). This
also results in her being a little back heavy - something I discovered when I knocked her over spraying her
with gloss paint. Lucky for me, I hadn't sprayed the back yet, and she sustained no damage.
I really struggled with her flesh - especially on her legs. I had to repaint the thigh on the extended
leg a couple of times. I'm not entirely pleased with how it came out. It could be better, but it's still
pretty good for me. I am happy with how the metals and her hair came out, though. I had originally thought
I might sell this one - but I'm not sure I could pack it in such a way as to ensure the hair wouldn't pop off. Any
kind of pressure I'm sure would weaken the glue too much. Perhaps I will be able to sell her locally.
