This was my biggest GenCon Indy 2007 entry - probably my most ambition project to date. The wings were pulled from some vending machine "disney fairies" that are supposed to be attached to one's purse or cell phone. I always thought the Hasslefree Shetland Pony looked like he was flying, so that conversion came easily. Artemis has been sitting on my table for a while and while I was toying with the other wings I had plucked from the fairies, the two just sorta went naturally together.. :) I tried to make it look like a "true scale" fairy and pony-fly. The Crunch-Waffle waggamaeph was added later because I thought the rock needed something hiding behind it. I couldn't find wings I liked for him, so I decided he was just a ground furball =) I chose the thistle shield design because I felt confident I could free-hand one.
